We are currently seeking an IT Analyst to join our team.

This position reports to the Infrastructure Manager and will work as part of the infrastructure team to develop, support and maintain the Contac network and server infrastructure in line with IS policies, procedures and Service Level Agreements. The successful candidate must be a dynamic individual with intimate knowledge of the latest trends and tools utilized in the Technology market so as to provide innovative solutions and bring greater efficiency, reliability and performance to an already thriving environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide first and second line support for help desk
• Learn and understand the PURL composition life cycle Contac uses
• Implement, maintain and test a working disaster recovery solution
• Identify and communicate technical problems, processes and solutions
• May lead and co-ordinate teams of computer programmers
• May research and evaluate a variety of software products
• Other duties as assigned

Skills:

• Proven knowledge of working with servers in high pressure environment
• Proven project management delivery and documentation skills preferably ISO and/or Audit levels
• Knowledge of data centre environment and core procedures
• Ability to establish priorities, manage multiple projects with tight deadlines while working under pressure
• Excellent documentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a timely manner
• Ability to handle (sometimes) stressful work environment in a professional manner
• Ability to take responsibility and complete work with minimal supervision
• Exceptional attention to detail and good organizational skills

Experience:

• 3+ years in a related role
• Bachelor’s degree in math, economics, computer science
• Sound knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft Enterprise, Exchange, VMWare ESX, Network Appliance, Cisco Routers, Switches & Voice technology and WAN (MPLS)/LAN/VLAN
• Cisco CCNA certification
• Microsoft certification
• 2 years supporting Microsoft and Cisco networks
• 2 years building, designing and integrating infrastructure
• 1 year in a helpdesk setting providing first, second and even third line support

The position will mainly be based out of our Delta location, however travel to remote locations in Vancouver, Montreal and Toronto will also be required. Flexibility to work on call, unusual hours or extended shifts when necessary is a definite asset.
